C&C Cigars

MIAMI, Florida-August 16, 2012  C&C Cigars, Florida-based cigar company founded last year by former Cusano Cigars president Joe Chiusano, has rolled out its full line of three different Dominican-made C&C blends to cigar shops. The company hand crafts cigars in keeping with its philosophy of providing “consistent, high quality cigars at reasonable prices.”

“C&C embodies the values of a small family boutique cigar maker, creating unique blends with a pride and passion that guides everything we do,” says Chiusano. “Our number one goal is to provide products that consistently meet and exceed expectations.”

The company’s flagship line consists of three different blends ranging from mild to medium-bodied, each presented in 18-count slide-top boxes.

The C&C Connecticut is smooth and flavorful, mild to “mild plus” in body. It features a rustic Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper and a Dominican binder and filler blend that was selected to accent the flavor characteristics of the wrapper, lending plenty of subtle rich and creamy flavors.

The C&C Corojo has a medium strength profile, and while is both smooth and flavorful, it also has a spice that “sneaks up on you.” The Dominican filler and binder blend is wrapped with an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper, delivering a taste profile “reminiscent of what made Cuban cigars famous.” Both the C&C Corojo and C&C Connecticut cigars are topped off with a Cuban-style triple cap head.

Rounding out the line, the C&C LRMD (Limited Release Maduro) pairs a Dominican Maduro wrapper with hearty Dominican binder and fillers to create a Dominican puro that delivers a rich, full, and aromatic medium-plus strength blend. The all-natural curing process allows the proprietary maduro wrapper leaf to retain much of its natural sweetness complementing its full flavor—all without adding dyes or oils. The Dominican binder and fillers were selected to provide a balance of strength and flavor.

C&C Cigars debuted its cigar lines at the annual premium cigar industry trade show, IPCPR, in July of last year, and and began shipping cigars to shops last fall. All three blends are available in robusto (5 x 50), toro (6 x 52), and Churchill (7 x 50) sizes, and retail from $3.99 to $4.49 per stick, before taxes.

Cusano Cigars, visit http://www.candccigars.com which was founded in 1995 in Boston by Joe Chiusano’s brother Michael, was purchased by Davidoff of Geneva in 2009. A year after the purchase, Michael Chiusano resigned, and longtime Cusano partner Joe was named president. In February of 2011, Joe resigned, and formed C&C Cigars in April to continue he passion and love of the cigar industry.
