Two-Day Event Expected To Draw Large Crowds To This Iconic South Florida Venue,
Festival Will Showcase Cuban Culture Through Art, Music, Food, Spirits, And More.

Miami, FL (February 19, 2015) – The highly popular Taste Of Cuba Festival, which has become an annual “can’t miss” event in South Florida, comes to historic Hialeah Park Racing & Casino for a two-day run Saturday February 28 and Sunday March 1.

“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to bring this wonderful event to a historic venue like Hialeah Park,” said
festival organizer Fermin Perez. “My goal with the Taste of Cuba has been to showcase the culture I was
always curious about and the heritage that my parents instilled in me. It makes perfect sense to have the 2015
festival at the most iconic location in all of Hialeah.”

Festivalgoers will be treated to a variety of Cuban-themed entertainment, food, beverages, and art. Some of
the top restaurants in the area will offer their exquisite culinary delights both days of the festival. And the
talented artist Alexander Mijares will present a piece of his newest works, “Me Recuerdo,” a series of five
mixed-media pieces dedicated to the artist’s Cuban heritage. For more information about the artist or the
featured piece/series please check out Alexander Mijares’ website at http://www.mijares.com.

“I am thrilled to be a part of the Taste of Cuba festival this year; it’s such a great community event filled with
amazing people, food and music. My artistic inspiration is fueled by Cuba’s vibrant culture, and I’m proud to
honor my heritage through ‘Guantanamera,’ a special piece from my new series, chosen by Fermin and team
for the upcoming event,” said Mijares, whose artwork will be featured on this year’s event flyer, as well as
displayed on-site at the Hialeah Park at Taste of Cuba Festival.

Perez noted that Carlos Hernandez, Mayor of the City of Hialeah, was quick to offer his endorsement and
support of the Taste Of Cuba Festival. “We received a wonderful letter from the Mayor in which he expressed
his confidence that the city with the largest Cuban population in the United States will warmly welcome people
from all over Miami and the surrounding communities to the festival.”

The Taste Of Cuba Festival, scheduled from noon to midnight on Saturday February 28 and from noon to 10
PM on Sunday March 1, takes place during the final weekend of the live horseracing season at Hialeah Park.
Those attending can move easily back and forth from the festival to the horse races, which are run from 12:35
– 4:30 PM both days. For more information on the Taste Of Cuba festival, visit http://www.tasteofcubafestival.com.
