Carlos Salgado: Corners, Spaces and Concerns.
MIAMI, Florida- The Cuban Art Project – Carlos Salgado’s paintings depict a range of subject matter that grows from strong personal convictions. Here the viewer will find strong juxtapositions of political figures against images normally associated with religious and family life. These images remind us that our everyday understanding of these social institutions may be too limited. Then, in other areas of the exhibit, subject matter appears to play a secondary role. These more contemplative paintings allow the artist to explore light, form and space with his considerable talent for pure painting.
All exhibitions are free and open to the public.
