Antonio Asik Alonso
Antonio “ASIK” Alonso was born on 1978 in Miami , FL. He has since then been working and living here. Alonso comes from a generation of Miami Graffiti street artists, there he gained his “TAG” (Asik). Antonio challenges his own passions, obsessions and fears with the confrontation of dualities of the bi-cultural realities and deceptions…
Essentially a self taught artist and disciple of renowned cuban born artist Sergio Garcia. Azik utilizes icons from past and present civilizations. His style is of sweet tender violence, and of supreme elegance combining the extremes of all techniques and mediums, Expressionism vs Asian Art vs Surrealism.
Antonio’s works have been filmed in several documentaries, and published in magazines on Miami Graffiti, also has been published in books on the history of Miami graffiti and in serveral international graffiti magazines. He has painted serveral street mural throughout the city.
Antonio has contributed several donations of his artwork to humanitarian rights groups that help fund raise through art auctions.
